Dr. Vivian A. Feintech and Rabbi Dayle A. Friedman, MSW, BCC, speak about wisdom in the Jewish tradition.

  1. What draws you to the practice of mapping out your own heart?
  2. Feintech and Friedman discuss the counting of the Omer—a Jewish spiritual practice counting each of the forty-nine days between Passover and Shavuot. What does this type of spiritual preparation mean for you? Do you have a spiritual exercise that is like the counting of the Omer?
  3. How do you slow down to experience the potential in a moment? Are there contemplative practices that you use regularly?

Dr. Vivian A. Feintech is a spiritual director, educator, and licensed marriage and family therapist. She lives in Los Angeles, California, USA, where she companions individuals on their spiritual journey and facilitates groups to share collective wisdom in community.

Rabbi Dayle A. Friedman, MSW, BCC, has pioneered the development of a Jewish spiritual vision for aging, healing, and spiritual care. She offers spiritual guidance, training, and consulting through Growing Older, her Philadelphia-based, national practice.
